EXAMPLES OF PAST PROJECTS

Capacity Building of Governmental Organisations

Project Title: Support to Build Capacity at Central Regional and Local Level to Implement Economic and Social Cohesion Measures in line with the Pre-National Development Plan (EuropeAid/121243/D/SV/TR)

The consortium formed by RENOVA Consulting, GIZ International Services based in Germany, PM Group based in Ireland and Bradley Dunbar Associates based in Scotland, was awarded a contract funded by the European Commission in Türkiye to help the capacity building of the Turkish governmental organisations.

The objectives were:

support the capacity building of various ministries and public institutions at central, regional and local level to prepare the implementation of economic and social cohesion measures,
assist the relevant institutions to prepare their investment plans (assistance for the Coherence Strategic Framework and Operational Programmes),
improve the absorption capacity for the future EU Structural Funds of the relevant institutions,
prepare the needs assessment, gap analysis and a strategy for the implementation of the economic and social cohesion measures,
prepare a strategy document for improved partnership between civil society and public institutions and develop proposals for better social dialogue,
organize trainings and workshops at central and regional levels.

Cooperation Development Programmes

Project Title: Technical Assistance to Support Implementation and Monitoring of the Grant Projects under Türkiye - Bulgaria CBC Program Joint Small Projects Fund (TR 0602.17)

This project aimed to develop cooperation between organisations from Bulgaria and Türkiye, in five cities, ie. Edirne, Kırklareli, Yambol, Haskovo and Burgas. 17 projects were selected as a result of the call for proposals.

RENOVA was responsible for:

Increasing the capacities of grant beneficiaries and assisting the implementation of grant contracts
Providing trainings on grant contract management, procurement procedures, reporting methods
Providing support to the Programme Contact Offices in Edirne and Kırklareli, for effective monitoring of the grant projects

Rural Development

Project Title: Technical Assistance to Support the Evaluation of the Call for Proposals of ‘Rural Development Component’ of the GAP Regional Development Programme (DELTUR/96327)

Within the context of the Economic and Social Development Programme, the European Commission implemented South East Anatolia (GAP) Regional Development Programme, which had three components, one of them being the Rural Development Programme. As a result of the call, 500 proposals have been submitted by the municipalities, SMEs and NGOs of the region. RENOVA provided assistance to the Delegation of the European Commission in Türkiye for the evaluation and selection of proposals, and prepared a short-list of projects to be financed.

This programme aimed to support initiatives for the improvement of the living conditions of the rural populations, development of partnerships to solve communities’ social and economic problems, such as low yield and lack of quality in production, inadequate marketing systems, low income level, lack of technology, training and organization, and the well being of local communities.
